Mike and Joe are back from their trip to California where they inspected the fields and hand selected the grapes to be delivered. They do this every year to ensure the best grapes and juice at the best price. This year’s crop is running a little later than last year. We’ll be receiving grapes around the 17th of September. The cool weather along with even cooler nights has slowed down the sugar of the grapes. The shorter and later yield this year may end up shortening the season. Pricing appears to be higher on most varieties of grapes due to harvesting costs and freight. Muscot being one of the most affected. Juice is also following this cost trend.
